OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE ON THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Board of Directors of Hometown Metropolitan District No. 2 (“the District”) would like to notify residents of an opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors.  The district is seeking interested, qualified candidates to fill one or more Board positions.

The District is a quasi-municipal corporation and a political subdivision of the State of Colorado.  The District was organized in 2008 for the purpose of financing and constructing certain public infrastructure improvements for the use and benefit of residents located within the boundaries of Hometown North Subdivision.  The District’s continuing responsibility is to repay the bonds associated with financing these improvements and to manage statutory compliance matters for the District.  The District accomplishes this through the collection of property taxes on an annual basis.  Taxes are levied and collected on all property within the boundaries of the District (with the exception of a portion of the Hometown North Subdivision, which was completed before the creation of the District, and consisting of 9 condominiums and 14 townhomes that are not included within the District’s taxing area).

To qualify to serve on the Board of Directors you must be registered to vote in the State of Colorado and a resident of the District or own (or be the spouse of an owner of) taxable real or personal property within the District.

The District meets annually and will hold the next regular meeting on October 19, 2026, at 8:30 a.m., by remote means (e.g., teleconference and/or videoconference).  Meeting(s) usually run for approximately one hour. Special meetings are scheduled as necessary.  Meetings are open to the public.
